Figurative artist J. Kirk Richards is known for his spiritually-themed paintings and sculptures. While he prefers to work in a variety of styles, most of his paintings exhibit a love for the human figure, general use of symbolism and metaphor, an emphasis on lyric composition, and a fusion of the old and the new.
Richards’ work has won awards in juried shows throughout the country, and is a favorite of collectors of spiritually-themed artwork. His images have been licensed for use in numerous books, magazines, and film productions, including two PBS documentaries. Richards and his wife, Amy Tolk, who is also an artist, live part-time in the city of Provo, Utah, and part-time at their country studio in the rural town of Redmond, Utah.
